Endorsed by Dr. Frank Corrigan, the creator of Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and offered by Approved DBR Trainer Sarah Jenkins, LPC, CPsychol, DBR Level One serves as the initial step in the learning pathway for Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Therapy.
Spanning over three days, from 9 AM - 3:00 PM (Phoenix, Arizona Time) each day, this live, online, course incorporates lectures, demonstrations, and experiential practicum-based learning.Â
Unique to Sarah's offering of DBR L1, Dr. Frank Corrigan's curriculum is also "chunked" over a period of time to support your ability to integrate what is being learned. After the first day, you will have time to gradually review the material before meeting again for the second and third days.
As a bonus option, some trainings also offer you the opportunity to âbundleâ your DBR training with two pre-scheduled two-hour "DBRiefing DBR" consultations to help you to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. These pre-scheduled consultations are run by your DBR Trainer, and may include, but are not limited to, members of your training cohort, as well as attendees from other DBR courses.

DBR Level One Training Criteria
- A core professional qualification in mental health or psychotherapy
- Current professional independent accreditation/ registration/ licensure/ qualification
- At least 2 years of clinical psychotherapy experience post your independent accreditation/ registration/ licensure/ qualification
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- Significant trauma-related experience or training in trauma-focused approaches
- Proficiency in speaking English as these specific DBR Level One events do not offer translation servicesÂ
- Please note that individuals holding associate, intern, limited, provisional, temporary, pre-license, or similar qualifications are not eligible. If youâre unsure about your eligibility, please review the list of DBR Training accepted qualifications.
